Legal Accomplishments:
Lead counsel in Carroll v. Interstate Brands Corporation, an employment discrimination case brought by 20 African Americans against their employer Interstate Brands Corporation. The trial resulted in a jury verdict of $11 million in compensatory damages and $121 million in punitive damages. Carroll et al. v. Interstate Brands Corporation et al. was name the No. 1 Verdict of 2000 by Verdicts and Settlements magazine.

Lead counsel in F. Alioto Fish Company v. The City and County of San Francisco, a breach of contract case. The trial resulted in a jury verdict of $3 million.

Lead counsel in Claudine Woolf v. Mary Kay Cosmetics, a disability discrimination case. Trial resulted in a jury verdict of $11.2 million.

Lead counsel in Valladares v. Madera Quality Nut, resulting in a jury verdict of over $25 million. Valladares v. Madera Quality Nut was named one of the Top 100 Verdicts of 2006 by Verdict Search.

Trial Lawyer of the Year Finalist by the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association (2007); Honored as one of California's Top 30 female litigators by the Daily Journal (2007); Honored as one of California's Top 30 female litigators by Verdicts and Settlements magazine (2002); Trial Lawyer of the Year Finalist by the Trial Lawyers for Public Justice (2001); National Law Journal's Litigator of the Month (August, 2000).

In addition to Angela Aliotoís legal accomplishments, she has also been a community leader in her native San Francisco. Angela was elected to the San Francisco Board of Supervisors after placing second in a field of 24 candidates with over 95,000 votes. She was reelected in November 1992, placing first with nearly 150,000 votes and became Board President.

Angela served as Board President from January 1993 to January 1995. As President, Angela served as Vice-Chair of the Board's Finance Committee. After Angela's term as Board President expired, she served as the Chair of two Board Committees: the Health, Public Safety and Environment Committee and the Select Committee on Municipal Public Power, the committee she created as President. On January 8, 1997, Angela left the Board of Supervisors due to term limits.

In 2004 Angela was appointed as the Chairwoman to San Franciscoís Ten Year Plan Implementation Council. The Council is dedicated to abolishing chronic Homelessness in San Francisco and has been recognized as a national model.
